What is a cancellation?
A cancellation is when you can no longer attend your appointment and need to cancel it.
How do I cancel my appointment?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact Megg as soon as possible:

How much notice do I need to give?
You must let Megg know at least 24 hours before your appointment.
What happens if I cancel with less than 24 hours notice?
If you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before it is due to start, you will be charged the full cost of the appointment, including any preparation undertaken prior to the appointment.
What happens if I don't show up?
If you do not attend your appointment and do not contact Megg beforehand, you will be charged the full cost of the appointment.
What if Megg travels to me and I am not there?
Megg's Mobile Speech Therapy visits clients at their home or chosen location. If Megg arrives at your location and you are not there or not available, you will be charged:
- ❌ The full cost of the appointment, and
- 🚗 The full cost of travel to your location
What does Megg do during a cancelled appointment time?
When an appointment is cancelled, Megg will try to use that time to complete administration tasks related to your care. This may include things like writing notes or preparing for future sessions.
However, this is not always possible. The cancellation fee will still apply regardless of whether administration tasks can be completed during that time.
Why do we have this policy?
Cancellations at short notice make it difficult to offer that time to other clients who need support. This policy helps Megg keep services running fairly for everyone.
